This region is primarily residential, making it ideal for those looking to experience the authentic essence of Isla Mujeres, complete with budget-friendly eateries (loncherias or cocina economicas), hidden gems, beautiful views, children's parks, and scenic seaside or lakeside strolls. While the mid-island offers plenty of space and options for accommodations, getting to Downtown, Punta Sur, and Sac Bajo can be a bit challenging in the heat. Renting a golf cart or using local taxis and buses is a great way to navigate the area comfortably.
